Results are in for round 1 and the community has voted Mag On Wood by ChiQ Montes as our winner. The Lunarpages team wholeheartedly agrees with your votes and declares Mag On Wood as our FIRST finalist!

Lunarpages will also select 6 additional entries for the final, so this does not mean that round 1 entrants are excluded. You’re all still in the running.

Now I know many of us have used Google’s Webmaster Tools section a time or two, and maybe even submitted our own site map to it. Did you know though that you can do the same with Yahoo! search? The Yahoo! Site Explorer is one way to make sure that Yahoo! knows you are on the web and ready to be indexed.

One really cool thing is that they allow you to submit your RSS feed to be crawled too. You can also setup dynamic URLs. There are up to three dynamic parameters that you want Yahoo! to treat specially whenever these are seen in URLs belonging to your web site in question. Think of it as redirects that only Yahoo! can see.
All in all, I would say the Yahoo! Site Explorer is another “site stuff” bookmark you should be sure to submit yourself to.

From time to time we do receive a few frequently asked questions about our domain name registrations. I figured I would tackle a few of the most often asked ones here to help out any other current Lunarpages customers with questions or new ones who may not know yet.
What type of domains can Lunarpages register?
Lunarpages can register .com, .org, .us, .biz, .info, .name, .net, and .co.uk.
How can current customers register an additional domain name with Lunarpages?
You can add domain name registrations right from our Customer Account Page. New domain name registrations only cost $9.95 per domain name and then the same price for every year after that.
What if we don’t have a credit card on record with our account?
If that is the case, all you need to do is e-mail support@lunarpages.com with the following:
- Primary Domain Name:
- User Name:
- Home Address:
- First/Last Digits of Your Password:
- New Domain You Would Like to Register:
How can we transfer our domain name registered elsewhere to Lunarpages?
Send the same information as requested above to the same address, and we can get that taken care of for you there too. Here are a few more articles that should help you with any and all of your domain name questions you might have:
Also don’t forget about your free domain for life you get with the Basic and Business hosting plans. :)
