Everything is related to Golf in my opinion

Author: Keith Duncan

For my first post and random act of blogness, I want to discuss an article I read recently. While tremendously bummed out that my beloved Redskins are having a losing season, I take refuge in working on my perfect golf swing and wondering how in the heck a professional kicker could miss a potential game deciding field goal form only 37 freaking yards. I mean, WTF?!? it was only 37 yards. My daughter could kick that in her sleep. How the H3LL do you miss that?

Well, the soon to be replaced kicker, Novak, answered my question in the article. He said he pulled his head a fraction of a second before kicking the ball. This small action caused him to kick at a higher point on the ball and create a hook that made it go wide right.

Now you tell me how a professional kicker can make such a stupid mistake. I mean, he gets paid to hit those with his eyes closed. But then, in the middle of my practice of the perfect golf swing, I pulled my head to see where the ball was going to go and slightly topped the SON OF A B… (edited in case my daughter learns how to read and says she got those words form me). It hooked wide right, just like Mickelson’s implosion earlier this year on the 18th and just like so many other pro golfers have done when the ball didn’t go down the middle.

Well, after doing that I thought, you know, it can happen and I need to cut this kid some slack. But then I got over the feeling when I remembered my beloved Redskins are 4-7 and facing a losing season.

Time for a new kicker!

I also relate just about everything to golf. My friend Bill and I began about 3 years ago now (Jan 1 is the 3 year anniversary) when we decided to go to chelsea piers in nyc and play golf on their simulation machine.

After a few sessions we were addicted and have played whevever possible since that time.

    All hail golf.

    Golf is king.
