Round One WordPress Theme Contest – Entry Chosen for Final 12!
By Amy Armitage
That’s right we narrowed it down to 5 entries last week and opened the polls last week to choose our first finalist. It was neck and neck between Christmas is Near by Nicki Faulk and Revival by Mike Nocek
And the finalist is…
[insert dramatic music and drum roll]
Revival by Mike Nocek with 281 votes!!!!
We expect a sappy acceptance speech and a photo of you with a princess crown.
Good luck in the finals!
Don’t forget, you can submit as many entries as you like and we have several more weeks until we stop accepting entries. Those entries that don’t make the cut for the weekly votes may still be chosen (6) for the final 12 design off!
YAY!

281 people voted for a theme that breaks in IE7? Wow. Either the power of the big blue header is even greater than I suspected or you have been pwnd by an army of sockpuppets. Either way, I am lost in admiration for Mike’s tactics.

@that girl again – it does work in IE7, Mike released a fixed version within a day to fix the issues, we just haven’t had time to update the preview. You can view the fixed version now.

Yeah, I fixed the main issues even though I ended up rebuilding it from scratch. You can download it at:
