I agree... let the public decide down to the final 2 or 3, and then let a judge take over... this will eliminate the possibility of hackers.

But i wanna win something useful, like another guitar for "rock band"
Can you make it happen Amy?

Yay, one more contest! Quite soon :)

As for voting, I agree with Aaron, leave the initial selection to the public, and the final vote should be made by staff.

Don't invite other designer's to decide because then it will be same like good-tutorials.com model with moderators, many are friends in this industry and obviously will help their buddies.

My other suggestion is to complect the butches of initial votes by group, say "dark designs", "minimalistic", "web 2.0" etc. This way it's easier to select one from 6 themes related to same topic. Although I know its probably won't be possible as 1. submission is continuous, 2. in the final it will be even harder to choose one theme.

I also think it would be fair NOT to let previous 3 winners to participate so that there will be more space for others to take part. Not that I'd not want to participate again, I just think it's not very fair.

I'd say leave the initial voting open to the public but for the final vote make it a Lunarpages management and/or staff decision to prevent cheating.
