		<description>If I recall correctly, there were two standards: the &#039;&#039;web safe colors&#039;&#039;  (256 colors) that addressed the 8-bit computer graphics card issue and the &#039;&#039;browser safe colors&#039;&#039;  (216 of the 256 colors) that addressed the difference between Macs and PC&#039;s and various browsers. With modern monitors/LCD&#039;s being able to produce over 16 million colors I don&#039;t see &#039;web-safe colors&#039; being an issue any longer.</description>
