Looking for a project to take on this weekend?  How about updating your web site’s footer?  The “footer” of a web site usually is referencing to the bottom of any web page.  Most people are not doing much with this space, but some people are taking advantage of it.

Here is an example of a great web site footer from bcandullo.com.  For more inspiration, be sure to check out 25 Stylish Website Footer Designs, an article I just happened to run across this morning that inspired this post. 

Footers on web pages have evolved from being a simple section where you host your copyright information and additional links, to a multi-functional section where you can find a variety of site features such as twitter updates, a short bio of the author, and secondary navigation.  This collection aims to showcase just some of the ways talented web designers have decided to utilize their website footers to provide that extra bit of improvement in the user’s experience.

So the question I have, is what do you think you could include to make your own footer better?
