Syndication Comes to LPQuicksite Blog
RSS feed support is turned on by default whenever you start a blog from inside of LPQuicksite. RSS, which stands for Really Simple Syndication gives your blog’s readers a way to know when the blog has been updated, even when they are not viewing the web site.
How can I edit the options for my RSS feed?
From within the LPQuicksite interface, hover over “Edit Content” and then click on “Blog”. On the left hand menu, you should now see RSS Feed as an option to edit. Clicking it will bring up a new box with the RSS options inside.
From within the RSS Options you can:
- Enable and Disable the RSS Feed Support
- Give Your E-mail Address (as the blog’s owner)
- Add a Copyright Notice for the RSS Feed’s Content
Once you have made all the changes you wish to make, click on the “Save” button. The “Close” button will Close the window, and not save your changes.
What is my LPQuicksite Blog RSS URL?
Your RSS feed will look something like this:
http://www.yourdomainname.com/rss.php
Replacing www.yourdomainname.com with your actual domain name. Also an RSS link and icon will be added to your blog’s template.
The major benefit to having an RSS feed is that readers of your blog can subscribe using a number of different online or program-based aggregators. Some examples of RSS feed aggregators are:
By having an RSS feed, you give your web site viewers even more options on how they can follow your updates, and also how you can distribute your content.
