Ever wanted to know how many of the popular sites like CNN, Nasa, Apple, FeedBurner and others do those cool web site effects?  I got one word for you, script.aculo.us!  This easy to use, cross-browser set of Javascript libraries will give your web sites the instructiveness and design elements you have always wanted.

What can it do?  Well for example,  animation framework, drag and drop, Ajax controls DOM utilities, and unit testing.  It is an addon to the JavaScript framework called prototype.

For the novices out there, it might take some tinkering – but for the tinkerers out there (of which I know there are many) this is a fun set of tools to play with.
