WordPress Contest Terms & Conditions

1. This contest is hosted by Lunarpages Web Hosting (www.lunarpages.com) and will run from August 4, 2008, to October 22, 2008. The schedule of events is as follows and is subject to change per Lunarpages:

• August 4-10, 2008 – voting on Top 5 Finalists for Round 1
• August 11-17, 2008 – Round 1 Winner announced & voting on Round 2
• August 18-24, 2008 – Round 2 Winner announced & voting on Round 3
  
• August 25-31, 2008 – Round 3 Winner announced & voting on Round 4
  
• September 1-7, 2008 – Round 4 Winner announced & voting on Round 5
• September 8-14, 2008 – Round 5 Winner announced & voting on Round 6
  
• September 15-21, 2008 – Round 6 Winner announced & voting on Round 7
• September 22-28, 2008 – Round 7 Winner announced & voting on Round 8
• September 29 - October 5, 2008 – Round 8 Winner announced & voting on Round 9
  
• October 5-12, 2008 – Round 9 Winner announced & voting on Round 10
  
• October 13, 2008 – Top 15 Finalists Announced (10 from the community + 5 from LP)
  
• October 13-19, 2008 – Community voting on Top 15 Finalists
  
• October 20, 2008 – Community voting closed & LP Staff voting commences
  
• October 22, 2008 – Winners Announced!

2. This competition is open to everyone worldwide, except Lunarpages' personnel, business partners, and family.

3. Contestants automatically accept the terms of this competition and acknowledge all US and California laws that may apply.

4. Failure to adhere to these terms and conditions nullifies contestant privileges to further participate in the contest as Lunarpages sees fit to determine.

5. Entrants must fill in the submission form posted on the Lunarpages Blog to upload their WordPress Themes. Themes must be in a zipped file.

6. Entries must be NEW WordPress Theme Designs, which have NOT been previously entered in any Lunarpages WordPress Theme contest.

7. Multiple submissions will be accepted, but only one prize per contestant can be awarded.

8. Each WordPress theme submitted must be uniquely yours, or you must have proof of permission from the author to distribute the content.

9. Contestants may submit sponsored WordPress themes, as long as they have permission to do so.

10. Lunarpages staff may choose a theme from a previous week’s submission period if they feel it is worthy of the next week’s voting poll.

11. By submitting your contest entry, you hereby grant to Lunarpages a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license for the duration of the contest to: display and reproduce the themes which you are submitting to Lunarpages in association with Lunarpages’ contest on its websites, for commercial, business, and trade purposes, as well as for advertising and/or publicity purposes. Additionally, you hereby agree and acknowledge that Lunarpages may, in its sole discretion, display your themes, in whole or in part, distorted in character or form, on (but not limited to) www.lunarpages.com, www.blog.lunarpages.com, www.lpdedicated.com, www.lunarpages.co.uk, www.lunarpages.com.mx, and www.web-hosting-newsletter.com. All WordPress themes submitted will be made available for public use and download; however, Lunarpages does not own your themes and you have full rights to distribute them as you see fit.

12. Contestants may NOT submit offensive, pornographic, obscene, criminal, or adult themes, links, or pictures. Lunarpages reserves the right to decide what constitutes deletion, suspension, or banning within the contest.

13. Regarding the aim of the competition, contestants are to submit zipped files containing their original WordPress Themes. Themes will be judged by Lunarpages staff members and anyone who votes via the Lunarpages Blog, Newsletter, and Forums. All submissions will be judged by the following criteria:

• Community Votes: 25%
• Staff Votes: 25%
• Creativity, Originality, & Uniqueness: 25%
• Overall Theme & Usability: 25%

14. Starting August 4, 2008, Lunarpages staff will choose 5 designs each week to be featured in a weekly poll. Each weekly winner has a guaranteed spot in the final voting, where 15 finalists (10 chosen by the community and 5 by Lunarpages’ staff) will compete for the grand prizes. Submissions close around midnight on October 12, 2008. The Top 15 WordPress Themes will be announced via the Lunartics Blog on October 13, 2008, and the final winners will be announced October 22, 2008, on the Lunarpages Blog and will be featured in the October Edition of the Lunarpages Newsletter.

15. Grand prizes consist of:

• First Place $1,000 + 5 Years Hosting
• Second Place $300 + 3 Years Hosting
• Third Place $100 + 1 Year Hosting

16. Lunarpages Staff and CEO will also each choose one unique theme that has not won a prize, and these two themes will win the following:

• Staff Choice - The Theme with the most staff votes wins 1 Year Hosting
• CEO Choice - The Theme that impresses our CEO most wins 1 Year Hosting

17. The Top 15 Finalists will be voted on primarily by the community via the Lunartics Blog; however, submissions will also be voted on by the entire Lunarpages Staff, and a special surprise bonus prize may be offered at any time.

18. Cash prizes will be awarded via US Check, and each winner is responsible for contacting Lunarpages to receive their prize.

19. Web Hosting prizes consist of the Lunarpages Basic Hosting Plan and will be available immediately after the announcement of the winners, and winning contestants must contact Lunarpages to receive their web hosting prize.

20. All voted decisions are final.

21. Lunarpages reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the contest, submissions, and/or these terms and conditions at our discretion.
